Features:
The features found in 1 Click DVD Copy from LG Software are everything you
need for disc backup. Simple interface with easy instructions should you
need them. A great bonus is the additional free software CopytoDVD,
a cd and dvd burning app from VSO Software. And with the addition to supporting
dual layer DVD burners and media there is no sacraficing quality on dual
layer movies.
Usefullness:
This product is very useful if you have a habit of scratching or not properly
storing you DVD's. With this software it is very easy to make 'extra' copies
in case one gets, um well 'toasted'.
Ease of Use:
I think the name of the software tells it all. Really it took 1 click to do
backups. Of course there are a few options to choose from if you want, like
copy to hard drive or to the DVD burner.
Quality and Speed:
The quality of my backup was near perfect. I did two tests with a dual layer
DVD+R disc with 7GB of home clips. For the first backup I compressed (option
in the software) the total 7GB so it could fit on one 4.7GB disc. The next
test was to do a straight copy with no compression. I read the entire disc
to my hard drive then then wrote back to my Sony DRU-700 dual layer burner.
Obvoiusly because there was no compression involved the quality was identicle
to the original. As for the disc with compression there was hardly any quality
loss at all. I had a hard time deciding what disc was from which test.
Help & Support:
I used their support and received great service. Thier online knowledgebase
is very useful as well.
Overall:
All in all, 1 Click DVD Copy from LG Software is a good solution for you disc
backup needs. Ease of use and quality of the backup make this product a must
have.
